William’s marriage to Kate was a long awaited affair, but on 29th April 2011, the pair finally wed at Westminster Abbey in London. The ceremony was aired live across the world and garnered over 72 million views on YouTube alone. Over one million people lined the route of the procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace, where the wedding reception took place. There were around 1,900 guests present at the nuptials, which was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
