Making it meaningful with...

In discussion with… our own Sam and Gemma about the meaning of Jewellery.
If you missed us on Instagram Live don’t worry below are the highlights.
During these uncertain and strange times, we know that occasions are still going on, and it’s important we are still able to mark them. Birthdays, anniversaries, special dates are still coming and going, and we know you still want to celebrate them. Although you may not be able to celebrate in person with loved ones, you can let them know you are thinking of them and send them a gift.
Our Simply Silver range is the perfect way to invest in something meaningful and treat yourself or a loved one to a little bit of luxury. The range is all based in Sterling Silver and handcrafted in Italian artisan workshops, as well as in our Thailand factories who we have partnered with for over 35 years. Quality and design are at the heart of our brand and we pride ourselves on offering exceptional value.
All Boxed Up
We’ve got two different ranges of boxed gift, both of which fit through the letterbox so are perfect for gifting from a distance!
Add some sophisticated style to your look with this Simply Silver necklace and earring set. Round cubic zirconia gemstones sit on a simple sterling silver necklace and studs, and catch the light for a natural shimmer.

If your looking for a gift with a little extra message the below are ideal for that extra meaning.

A little love goes a long way. Sending a small gift in the post can brighten someone’s day.

Alphabet jewellery, or jewellery engraved with initials, has been a popular trend for a while now and it's a lovely way to personalise a gift for a friend or loved ones. Initialled jewellery is also a great gift to buy for yourself for a contemporary yet timeless addition to your outfit.
Make It Meaningful
With everything going in the world it’s a great time to really look at the meaning behind some of the symbols that we use in the Simply Silver range, and how you can use jewellery to tell someone what they mean to you. There are five key symbols that we use in our range, all of which have a special meaning to us.
The Tree of Life
The Tree of Life is one of our most popular symbols. The tree of Life symbol has a long history across many cultures. Although each culture has their own take on the symbol, the overarching themes are of connection, growth, individuality and strength. It is seen as an inspiring, calming and grounding symbol, which can hold meaning for everyone.

Stars - Looking to the sky
Stars have always been steeped in wonder and awe, and have constantly been seen as an inspiration for humanity. The symbol has so many different meanings it is difficult to incorporate them all into one blog, but if you’re looking for a gift with meaning you can’t go wrong with a star or celestial inspired piece.

Most commonly stars are said to symbolize protection, spirituality, motivation and guidance, making them the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one.
Infinity
We use the infinity symbol a lot in our range, as we love that it represents the concept of eternity, empowerment and everlasting love. The infinity symbol also holds a deep meaning for spirituality, love, beauty, and power.

In a world filled with distraction and complications, the infinity symbol represents a sense of simplicity and balance. It can be used to remind us to be conscious of where we are and the endless possibilities we have before us.
Hearts
Last but certainly not least, hearts! There’s not a lot to say on hearts that we don’t already know, as they perfectly represent the universal symbol for love and romance.

Feathers
Feathers are said to represent protection and connection, and are also seen as a symbol of flight or freedom. For many they can give a sense of hope or peace, for others they are a sign to bring our awareness back to our thoughts, feelings and emotions in the moment.

Not a symbol, but still full of meaning; Freshwater pearl
Not a symbol but a gem we love! All our pearls used in the Simply Silver range are freshwater pearls, which means they are real gemstones which come from freshwater lakes and rivers. Pearls rank among the most popular gems in the world, and as such have inspired symbolism and lore for centuries. They are believed to attract wealth and luck as well as offer protection. Known for their calming effect, pearls are said to symbolize the purity, generosity, integrity, and loyalty of its wearer.
They also symbolise wisdom gained through experience, helping you learn the lessons with every life experience, and making you wiser and stronger for it. No longer limited to brides they are a classic way to add luxury to a basic outfit.

They are also the birthstone for June, so perfect for gifting that special person with a June birthday coming up!
Adding A Personal Touch
All of our personalised lines come with complimentary engraving and a free pouch to treasure your piece in forever. Personalised jewellery is great – it’s timeless, it's significant, and it's unique. And, with the ability to customise your favourite piece of jewellery with any message initial or number, you have the creative freedom to do whatever you like! Engraving jewellery with numbers that signify a date or age is a wonderful way to commemorate an occasion.

Whether it's a significant birthday or special anniversary, getting a special number or date engraved will help to remember it for the rest of your life.
