Earrings have been given the dramatic treatment this season, transforming teeny-tiny studs to bold catwalk statements.

Prada are embracing the trend by draping the models in head-turning embellished ornaments. Other designers which also love this trend are Alexander Wang with his long chains, Oscar de la Renta with summery tassels and Gucci with some shoulder touching gems. Rodarte on the other hand keeps it glamorous with intricate gold designs; however the large shapes used to keep the dynamic feel.

These longline statements help give you an elongated profile, and who doesn’t want that. There are plenty of ways to wear the trend this season and some celebrities are already showing us how. Lady Gaga styles her ears with diamond drop earrings on the red carpet. Another look came from actress Cate Blanchett who wore platinum drop earrings with diamonds from Tiffany & Co.
