Bridal Inspiration
• Catherine Beneduce
In the future, 2011 will be known as the year of the 'Celebrity Bride'. From the regal splendour of William and Kate, to the rock and roll glamour of Kate Moss and Jamie Hince, it seems that everyone is getting married.
Lily Allen wed Sam Cooper in a beautiful vintage style dress by Delphine Manivet, whilst Reese Witherspoon was pretty in pink. July will see yet more brides, with Prince Albert of Monaco marrying Charlene Wittstock, Kate and Jamie’s nuptials and Zara Philips marrying rugby star Mike Tindall.
Every bride makes their own jewellery choices for the big day that is often a signature of their personal style. Sometimes the special pieces make up the something old, or something borrowed part of the trousseau. But whether you love Lily’s vintage elegance, Kate’s regal simplicity or Kate Moss’s art deco inspired 1920 opulence, you can channel their wedding style with pieces from the Jon Richard’s wedding collection.
Look 1 – Lily Allen – Vintage Bride
Lily has always been inspired by vintage looks, and has been even more so since the success of her vintage emporium ‘Lucy in Disguise’. Our Jon Richard Antique Vintage Inspired Crystal Filigree Necklace and Bracelet look like they have been handed down by a much loved grandmother, whilst the exquisite Jon Richard Pearl Headband has a real 1920s feel to it...
Look 2 – Kate Middleton – Regal Bride
Along with that amazing Alexander McQueen dress, Kate wore simple earrings from Robinson Pelham, and the beautiful Halo tiara, that was loaned to Kate by The Queen. This created a regally elegant look that transformed Kate into a fairytale Queen-in-waiting. You can get the Kate look at Jon Richard with the stunning Grace Tiara, with its echoes of the Halo Tiara. Cubic Zircona peardrop earrings and the delicate crystal plate bracelet could transform any bride into a royal Duchess – if only for a day!
Look 3 – Kate Moss – Rock and Roll Bride
Kate Moss marries Jamie Hince on July 2nd in what is sure to be the rock and roll wedding of the decade. Kate is known for her fascination with the ‘roaring 20s’, and her wedding jewellery may well have an Art Deco theme. The Jon Richard Pave Crystal Link Bracelet has a real heirloom feel, whilst the Diamante Chandelier Earrings would give Kate that rock chick edge she is famous for.
Whoever your style icon is, you will be sure to find your bridal inspiration amongst Jon Richard’s beautiful pieces.
