A Celebration of Jewellery

 width= Last week saw London turn into a whimiscal week of jewellery celebrations, with the official London Jewellery Week taking place. From the 6th-12th June, contemporary jewellers, quirky boutiques and designer brands were showcased to the public, press and jewellery fanatics alike. Adding to the celebrations was a one day street festival, jewellery-making demonstrations and a show stopping jewellery catwalk show. Here's a little run down of what was happening, when and where! Treasure A visionary exhibition of 80 of the UK's best contemporary jewellers. Split into various sections, Treasure showcases over 120 independent jewellers as well as designer/makers showing with different groups such as the Goldsmiths’ Company and the Association for Contemporary Jewellery. Treasure shows that beautiful jewellery can be made by all sorts of techniques from cutting-edge technologies to ancient skills. Goldsmith's Company Day of Knowledge A day of jewellery seminars at historic Goldsmiths’ Hall. Joanna Hardy, jewellery expert and historian, lead the day of informative talks, focusing on some of the most celebrated jewellery houses since Victorian times, their heritage and impact

Hatton Garden Festival

That's exactly how Hatton Garden Festival was last week! What better way to start the summer than a lazy stroll through London’s oldest jewellery district.
